Tuscany is simply fantastic! The breadth of its culture, history, and art is beyond imagination! Florence alone is like the center of the art world and the food is amazingly good! We particularly love Enoteca Alessi and Yellow Bar. Shopping in Florence is also hard to resist! The leather goods are of impeccable styling, the prices are reasonable, and the craftsmanship is definitely excellent! We were able to do all this, thanks to Maurizio of Tuscany Taste Tour. Maurizio was punctual, has a good command of English, and has a wide knowledge of Italian History and Politics. This enabled him to give good suggestions for our itinerary, especially when it comes to wine tasting. There is never a dull moment with him. My children also enjoyed their conversations with him. More than that, he always showed concern for the safety of his clients.
Tour to San Gimignano & Volterra,November 02, 2014,Cruise ship, group of 8:It's a scary thing to plan your tours via email, based on the written opinion of others. You do the research and hope that the ship arrives on schedule. But bottom line ... you cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm pleased to report that Tuscany Taste Tours met and exceeded my hopes and expectations! Maurizio answered emails swiftly, provided details, and offered valuable suggestions for tailoring our tour day. From pick up at the pier to drop off, everything went perfectly! The transportation was clean and comfortable. Our excellent driver, "Guiliano," was informative and organized. He was a pleasure to be with, adding to the enjoyment of our day. Not to mention the fact that the man could sing opera ... what a treat for us!Lunch at the Torciano winery (Maurizio's suggestion) turned out to be a highlight. Wines and food offerings were superb. As for the walled Medieval towns, we loved being able to explore them on our own, without being herded around in a massive group. Fact is, the 8 of us picked up walking maps and went our separate ways to explore. But we knew when and where to meet up with our driver. It was easy. The only down side is that I didn't want to leave! So ... I guess we'll just have to return and visit Tuscany again. I'll have Maurizio on speed dial!
I want to start by saying "WOW". I hired this company because it was reviewed so highly. I will use them again next year because I know they are great. Check out any of the positive reviews on Cruise Critic as well. The price was very fair, and our guide was phenomenal. Our group of 8 started the day with a visit to Pisa and continued our journey through Florence. I can't believe how much we saw in a short 8 hour tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. He was willing to make changes to the itinerary as the group desired. We had a terrific lunch at a restaurant the tour guide recommended. Contact Tuscany Taste Tour for personalized attention
We (8 of us) had an outstanding tour with Tuscany Taste tour. Our driver, Johnny, was well informed and spoke good English. We will definitely use Mr. Maurizio Mancini company again! (Oct.2016) Larry S

We were on a cruise that departed from Rome on November 1, 2014. On the recommendation of a friend, we were pointed in the direction of Maurizio from Tuscany Taste Tour. We made arrangements for one of his drivers to pick us up at the airport (we were 5 adults), drop off our luggage at our hotel, and start touring Rome. The driver was patiently waiting for us at the airport (took a while to get through customs and retrieve our bags). He introduced himself, lead us to his impeccably clean van and the trip began! Our driver (I believe his name was Christiano), supplied bottled water and some Italian candy during the drive. He proved to be a wonderfully knowledgeable guide and our visit to all the major sites in Rome was a great start to a memorable vacation. A few days later, we once again used Tuscany Taste Tour for a day in Tuscany. Maurizio (with whom I had communicated several times before arriving in Italy and he was always most helpful and responsive) was to be our guide fo the day. In addition to being very easy on the eyes :), he welcomed us like we were family. We visited some shops along the way, had a wonderful wine tasting at a lovely winery, but the real highlight of the day was our lunch at Stefania's. The food and wine was flowing and our lovely host, Stefania, could not have provided more beautiful memories of her home. I have never tasted such mouth-watering food (and I'm of Italian descent), all homemade by Stefania in her kitchen (her home is a 12th century farmhouse, rustic, but beautiful and cozy). I give Tuscany Taste Tour, and specifically Maurizio, a big thank you for making our trip to Italy so special. We loved it so much, we've already booked again for next year! Don't go anywhere else if you want to tour Italy! You will get the best service ever!!!!
My husband and I were delighted to spend the day with Maurizio Mancini in September during a shore excursion out of Florence. We had originally booked him to take us to Portofino and Portovenere, but at the last minute decided we wanted to explore the wine county instead. Maurizio cheerfully shifted our plans and took us to the Chianti Region of Tuscany. There we enjoyed exploring charming villages – the scenery was breathtaking! One of the highlights was a quickly arranged lunch at the home of his delightful friend, Stefania. She lives in an 11th century stone farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. We were her only guests that day and enjoyed a delicious, authentic Tuscan lunch! Stefania also offers cooking classes in her charming kitchen, (pastaalpesto.com). After lunch we had the pleasure of a private winery tour at Fattoria San Michele a Torri. This included wine and olive oil tasting. The day was well paced and timing was never a concern. Maurizio got us back to our ship in plenty of time for departure. He is a charming, knowledgeable guide and we highly recommend him!
My wife and I have known Maurizio many years and he has never let us down. Another great day in Tuscany with lunch at our wonderful friend Stefania's house (www.pastalpesto.com) in Greve. If you're interested in the best time Italy has to offer, please contact Maurizio and book a tour. You won't be sorry!
The day trip is fabrious and enjoyable. Thank you so much for your good quality service .
We were met early from the port by Maurizio and driven to Pisa where he had pre-booked tickets for us to climb the tower before the crowds arrived. After an hour we met up with Maurizio again and were driven an hour on to Florence and started our tour with a great elevated view of the city. We were dropped off and were guided to all the sights in Florence including tickets to The Accademia to see Michelangelo's David and other masterpieces. Maurizio even made sure we were able to get into the museum quickly. He also suggested lunch at a very nice traditional little italian restaurant that wasn't expensive. Finished with gelato then returned to the port. Our tour took all day and was thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you Maurizio, our newest friend in Italy.
When Marco "Polo" picked us up at our ship, he was right on time with sign in hand. We knew we were in good hands when the first thing he did was suggest an off-agenda stop at a local olive oil maker, that just happened to also make wine! From the incredible historical knowledge of the local towns to the pre-arranged AND random tastings, Marco really took great care of us. We ate the best pasta we've ever had, and he even arranged to have the kitchen open a few minutes early for us because we were so hungry! When we come back to Italy, you can bet we'll be calling Tuscany Taste Tour.
